PATIKA (Rinjathi) School

This school project has been built in a remote village of Rinjathi, Patika around 20 miles away from the Muzaffarabad. This was one of the worst affected area by the devastating earthquake of 8th Oct. 2005.

This school consist of four large classrooms, one office, and two toilets. There is also a big playground for games. Books, school uniform and four teachers also being provided by KRDF.

This School is wholly managed by KRDF. A five member committee comprising of local people have been formed by  KRDF in order to monitor the day to day affairs of the school.

Projected costs were:

Construction:  £ 5,500-00
» Text and workbooks:  25,000 Pak Rs.
» Uniform: 30,000 Pak Rs
» Furniture 30,000 Pak Rs

In addition to this there will be a further annual running cost of approximately 200,000 Rs (£2,000). This project has been fully funded and sponsored by Friends in Walthamstow headed by Mr. Mohammad Tariq.
